Rear facing – what it means
Traditionally in the UK when a child outgrows their infant carrier parents purchase a Group 1 forward facing seat. This can be quite an occasion as the parent looks forward to having their child facing forward. These seats are widely available in the market and currently culturally acceptable. We aim however, with the information on this site, to challenge this mindset. To keep your child rear facing means just that – you do not move to a forward facing seat but instead purchase a Group 1 rear facing car seat.
On the following pages we explain in more detail how rear facing car seats offer the best protection for your child and give you information and links so you can find out more for yourself.
