Good all round seat that has passed the Swedish Plus Test. Has a recline function and is comfortable with additional removable padding for younger children. It’s a heavy seat to lift but manageable. Relatively simple to install and has a solution to underfloor storage compartments. Great for: Comfort, ease of installation, has a decent recline function, passes the Swedish Plus Test Beware of: Weight of the seat NEW to the UK Besafe Izi Kid X3 Isofix. Unlike the Besafe Izi Combi X3 that can be installed rear facing and forward facing, the Izi Kid Isofix is a rear facing only seat with a headrest in EPS that offers side impact protection. Also includes magnet system to hold the harness in place thus allowing easy access to the seat.
The Besafe iZi Combi car seat allows children to sit rearward facing up to the age of four. The seat has been designed with a brand new harness system that reduces the impact on the child in the event of a collision, resulting in a considerable improvement in safety. The seat is also made from energy-absorbent material. The test requirements used in the development of Besafe products are 40-50% higher than specified in the standard for car seats.

a couple of minor problems but I still love it
Overall this is a great seat and the most important factor for us is the safety of rear facing. It is high up so my son can see out of the window which keeps him entertained! It looks stylish and is solid, it won't budge an inch like the infant carrier did but that might be because it is isofix and not seatbelt. There are 2 problems I have found so far. Firstly we put it behind the driver seat which made the driver seat too upright and too close to the steering wheel which after a few days gave me a bad back so we swapped it to behind the passenger side which works better. The other problem is that even in the recline position it doesn't recline as much as my first child's forward facing car seat therefore when my baby falls asleep his head tends to fall forward. We usually have an adult sit in the back to push his head back up when it falls but for me the fact that rear facing is 5 times safer was a more important factor and wouldn't put me off buying this seat again.
